B and I are getting ready to leave for the airport and finally, finally, Time Warner shows up to fix the line. So B should be reachable and if you show up to pick something up you will be able to get in. That is if the phone turns on as the cable and modem have.

Thanks to everyone for an awesome party, I had a blast. I will try to post Wednesday morning to let everyone know that I'm ok and safely home.

Too much to do before getting on a plane on Tuesday.

Since our recent chaotic upheaval B will be leaving town a week earlier than planned, we are going to try to park the rest of our stuff (which isn't very much) with friends in town and he will take our little car to St. Louis. As a result we won't need help with loading the car but if you have a corner in your basement that we could store a couple of boxes in let me know.

This sucks, I am about to train my third potential replacement in a week. The lady that arrived last Thursday didn't quite have the technical ability she needed to pick up the job quickly enough. The one I've been training since yesterday is overqualified so they are getting No. 3 in tomorow. We now have 2 days to get her up to speed.

Our plans for moving are now in complete shambles as B was let go from his job on Monday, they had found a replacement and didn't want to pay double salaries. Thanks for your good work and oh yes, screw you, your fired.

I'm going to have to hit the ground running when I arrive in Ireland, I need to be working as soon as possible since our parents already rented a house for us and I have to come up with the second months rent four weeks after I arrive.

I just scored some free disposable plates, bowls and glasses for the upcomming space of festivities, and these things are good quality so we will be able to wash them and re-use them over and over. They are not quite dishwasher safe but hey, you can't have everything.

I just got a nibble from a recruiter about a job at Penney's (JC Penny's here) as Senior Buying Department Administrator, sounds interesting, the only problem is that it's 8:45am to 5:45pm which is nice for getting up in the morning but I wouldn't be home till 7:00pm at night which would suck. I told them I was interested, maybe there is something to be done about the hours. Adecco Ireland also contacted me but I don't think anything concrete will happen there until I'm actually in country. Still stuff is moving :-)

We will be mailing two more boxes tonight, that leaves three packed ready to go in our living room, I may be able to get those out tomorow.

I just read a post by an old and dear friend of mine which reminded me of the magical life we as witches should be living. I wish I was able to hang out with her and dance around a fire more often, she is one of the most beautiful, strong people I know and she's a blast at a party.

I had the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] krkhst over for dinner and TV yesterday, as usual we talked our heads off, we never really seem to run out of topics. Katie is better but still not great, she seems to still be working on one tooth and her tummy is a little upset, as a result she isn't sleeping well which means that we're not sleeping well. She was up at 6:00am this morning, usually she makes a couple of noises and falls back to sleep but not today so I got her in bed with me for a half hour and then let her loose on her Papa who had taken refuge on the couch. I'm exited about meeting some of my former collegues today, the four of us are getting together for lunch and I'm sure much gossiping and catching up will happen. Of course I am armed with my Katie pictures which will undoubtedly produce oohs and aahs from the ladies.

I'm doing a lot of thinking about the coven and how good or bad an influence I've been on it. There are a few things I regret not doing and a few things I regret doing. I wish that I had been more mature in my craft when I took students but that kind of thing only comes with time. Things are so much better nowadays that we have more initiates to carry the load, especially here in the twin cities, you can't swing a cat without hitting a BlueStar initiate around here. It's astonishing, we have four established working covens and a few more working on becoming so. I have been blessed with amazing people to work with both in my coven and in the greater community. We are doing such exiting work right now, it's hard to leave. On the other hand I'm moving to a place of ultimate possibilities that will be what I make of it. Whether that is solitary or coven work it's all up to me.

It appears that the big girl has been growing more teeth than expected. She is either on 11 or 12 at this point, I can't quite tell because she has a distinct dislike of me poking a finger in her mouth (can't say as I blame her there). She now has four upper and lower front teeth and either three or four bicuspids, I can't wait for all those molars to come in, yeah.

This morning I'm a little wired because I indulged in a fully leaded cup of coffee, I love how when I don't drink it regularly it peps me up when I need it the most. Tomorow I'm back to decaf. This weekend we should be able to mail the majority of our boxes (hurrah for getting paid) and pay the extra money for her majesties ticket. I wonder if we get the extra luggage allowance for her as a lap child since we are paying for her? I need to remember to ask the agent when I call them on Thursday.

My lovely, sexy, scrumptious husband and I (did I mention that he's cute) actually went on a date on Saturday. We had a wonderful time thanks to Ms. A for arranging it, we need to make more time for this kind of thing. Katie seems to working on a full set of eyeteeth, one is completely through and two more are peeking out, the third is surely going to follow soon. That means that our lovely sunny girl has a couple of rain clouds on her horizon. I mean really, it can't feel good. But she's a trooper and despite gum issues keep soldiering on.

I'm ramping up my job search and have a couple of bites from recruiters I'm optimistic that I won't be looking long once I'm in Ireland. Alas I haven't heard back on the google job, it's probably gone. Much of the apartment stuff that we are selling is gone already, just the bed and a couple of side tables left. We need to make plans on what to do with the stuff that's going to be tossed, mostly one large beat up couch. Currently I have six packed boxes waiting to be mailed I'm going to try to make that happen by the end of next week, maybe not all six but at least four. So that's what's happening in my world work continues to putter along and my moving stress levels are rising daily.

Boring Day

It's been a bit of a drag today, except for some of my friend's thoughtful posts which brought some spice into what has been a bit of a dreary stuck inside while it's lovely kind of a day. I'm about six weeks away from the end of my job here and I sure hope they get a replacement in before the end of August. I'm trying to set everything up so that it practically runs itself so hopefully my successor will have less challenges than I did.

This morning I practically had to crowbar both my sweethearts out of bed, neither seemed very pleased at the prospect of facing the day. Poor Katie got very congested out of the blue yesterday evening and I finally broke down and dosed her with some decongestant after which she settled down. I am told that by the time she and [livejournal.com profile] paradigmslost got to the lovely [livejournal.com profile] gwisteria's she was once again fast asleep.

We got our first package mailed, at about $50 a pop it's cheaper than a moving company but still pretty exhorbitant. A lot of our household stuff that we are selling is already spoken for and people are patiently waiting for us to move in earnest to pick up their stuff.

There is so much to do and so little time to do it in before I leave.

Had a good weekend, circle turned out wonderful on Saturday despite a rocky start, we had illness and unwellness and a serious case of Mercury retrograde going on. Ritual was fun and the food afterwards spectacular. We now have airline tickets for both B and myself (I was going to say "I" but that might have been confusing), my lovely husband got that momentary deer in the headlights looks "We're really going aren't we". We have four boxes packed for shipping the first of which will be mailed today pending me getting some forms from the post office. The big girl has been wonderful she was so much fun, she has enough energy for three adults but when she's tired there's an internal switch somewhere and she just goes, it's very cute. I'm a little concerned about her digestion since she has had a touch of diahorea for over a week now, my mom says it's her teeth comming in but I think that might be an old wives tale. She's not acting sick at all though so hopefully her system will normalize itself soon.

There is so much to do in the next few weeks, I have to organize an appartment sales that will have to happend after I leave the country (yikes), the local community will get first dibbs of course and I will post a list of stuff soon. Everything else will have to go in a box and we have decided to rent a van rather than a truck, we don't need all that much room and I think the van will do just fine and is less than half the price of the truck as well as being more comfortable to drive. We are going to have to figure out how to get it loaded because B will likely have to leave on a weekday which means picking up the van in the morning, loading it and getting on the road before lunch, all with the girl in tow. We shall have to see how we manage that.
