Jan. 3rd, 2008 08:52 pmMom and I went out for a girl's day shopping, let's just say that we were very glad that we decided to drive and not take the bus. Just the four bags (yes you read right) of books would have been difficult. We also found Waterford Crystal at 30% off which is practically unheard of here so we got some more of the pattern we have started to collect in fact we got these:
More specifically four each of the Balloon Glass and the Champagne Flute as well as the Wine Decanter.
We also picked up some very yummy cheeses at the best Cheese shop in Ireland, it's called Sherridan's and is a must visit if you are into cheese and in Dublin.
Then we went to the only decent fabric store in the country (it really is) and picked up some beautiful embroidered plum colored silk to upholster Mom's new Georgian Chair as well as some purple wool and primrose yellow linen I have had my eye on for a while. It was a good thing too because I got all of the linen that was left and it's just enough for what I want to do with it.
After a final visit to the Asian store for some tofu, gen mai chai and soy sauce we were ready to roll. Oh and I found a bottle of orange blossom water that now is crying out for me to put it in something.
Right now it's actually snowing for the first time this winter and Kate is enchanted, she's probably still standing at her bedroom window.
We had a very very good day.
