Update from Ireland
Jan. 10th, 2008 12:49 pmFirst of all HAPPY BIRTHDAY
cudubh!!! Hope you have a great day.
Things have been hectic in some ways and not in others over here. On Tuesday my boss took two of us out for a belated Christmas lunch. We went to a place called Rhodes D7 (the Exec Chef is Gary Rhodes for those foodies among you). It was amazing, I had smoked eel on toast with a poached egg and hollandaise sauce as a starter and it's in the top 5 best things I have ever put in my mouth. The wine was also delicious, we ate for about 3 hours and then I went home a little early. All in all a great afternoon.
I had the 24 hour blood pressure monitor on yesterday, it's real pain, I did not sleep a wink last night, thankfully that's done now. I should hear tomorrow how the readings are.
This weekend my Mom and I are going to Offaly to a two day workshop on making your own feast gear. I'm signed up for the class on casting forks and spoons and she is doing wood turning. I think it will be a fun weekend.
