They made it
Oct. 21st, 2005 10:28 amNo planes fell out of the sky and they arrived around 9:00am yesterday morning somewhat worse for wear. the poor girl had not been able to sleep much and was in a bit of a daze when she arrived. When she realized that she could run around the airport arrivals area she perked right up though. We were missing some luggage so it took a while to get out of the airport. Unfortunately what was missing was her crib so luckily a neighbor offered her travel crib and that's what K has been sleeping in for the last couple of days. Yesterday evening ours finally arrived so we can return the loaned crib today. B is doing well and starting to catch up on his sleep though he has been up in the middle of the night trying to get over his jetlag. K was fixing to sleep through the night last night but a neighbors house alarm went off and would not stop, it finally woke her up, damn it. Brian stayed up with her for a little longer and she only fussed for about five minutes (rather vehemently) until she fell asleep again around midnight I think.
So all is right in the world again, I'm back at work and should give them a call to see how they are doing.
EDIT: I called three times this morning, at around 11:00am a fuzzy Brian answered the phone with a complaining Kate in the background, apparently they had just woken up. I'm so amused.
