Mine!

Kate found a new word yesterday (I believe she picked it up at the Toddler Group)it's Mine!. She may be a little behind in her language development but she is now recognizing and comming up with words in English, Sign, and German. She has also started to drink from a proper cup as opposed to a sippy cup and is very proud of herself when she does so. I don't think I've mentioned this before, last week I got picked up on a one year contract, they wanted to hire permanently but the budget committee won't let them and I have exactly the same rights and privileges as a permanent employee. I found out when I was checking into my leave benefits that I had been accumulating leave as a temp employee (at a rate of 1.75 per month) as well as being fully paid for all holidays, in some ways Ireland is more civilized than the States.

I'm still having fun with my homework project I have moved on to mapping the sabbaths and paths of power onto the altar, it's lovely to see how much immediate sense it makes to me now. I remember many years ago when I did this initially how cryptic some of the placings were, now it's "of course that's a perfect placement". Revisiting the old stuff is something I cannot recommend enough, I'm gettig so much out of it.
