paradigmslost got up with the Kate yesterday so I slept in till around 9:00am, got up and hung with the girl while her Papa took a quick nap and then headed out to Oma and Opa's. We got a lot done in the garden, not least of which was quietly sitting in the shade drinking tea and chatting. Much weeding was accomplished with the big girl's help.
paradigmslost mowed the lawn and panik was averted by explaining to Kate that the lawnmower was Nu Nu for outside (all the parents out there who watch the teletubbies will know what I'm talking about), she went from immiment meltdown to clapping her hands in delight at the noisy beast. We also made inroads into tameing the peas which needed to be staked two weeks ago, something we are only now getting around to.
Mom made a delicious lunch of completely homegrown salad with lovely warm toasted bread with goat cheese and for desert we had elderflower pancakes straight from the bushes to the pan with a generous sprinkling of cinnamon sugar. Aahhh, stress release.
