It's been a quiet few days, we are moved out of our old place which is always an immense relief and are slowly finding places for all our bits and pieces in the new house. On the downside we have a hole in our tub and the oven doesn't work, what's worse is that every time we call the property managers it's news to them and they assure us they will get right on it. At this stage K has had two baths in the last few weeks both of them at Oma's. Yesterday she actually took a shower with me which is a big thing for such a little girl. All that hot spraying water can be quite scary but she's a trooper and we made a game out of the water tickling her. She has been having a persistent cough, especially at night, for the last three days and is being dosed with cough syrup. During the day she is cheerful and doesn't seem to be in distress so we are holding off on the doctor for a while. Today she and her Papa are supposed to be going to the Zoo before coming into town for lunch, I have taken a half day and my Mother is also meeting us here at the office.

I currently reading a new book called "The unschooling handbook", it's quite fascinating. If you have ever considered this kind of education for your children or have any experience with it I would appreciate a comment to let me know what you think. Basically it's a very child directed way of learning that at this stage of my research appeals to me greatly. If nothing else this book is wonderful for it's bibliography, I have a whole list of books that have been added to my wishlist already and I'm not even halfway through.
