Holliday Update

evaelisabethI'm still on vacation, today the College opened again but I took 3 days holiday so I don't have to go back till Monday. I've started going to a Chinese Medical Practitioner for my blood pressure and cholesterol issues and had my second acupuncture session today. He is very concerned with getting rid of my cough before he tries anything else, I'm also going to my Irish Doctor and am now on a 5 day course of steroids for this g()*(*&)(*&mn hacking that just won't stop. It alone is probably worth 5 or 10 points on my blood pressure.
On the other hand Kate is still the light of our lives and goes for 3 years old to mid forties in about 60 seconds. She continues to amaze, delight and frustrate (sometimes). We had the biggest tantrum in the tub yesterday, she had rubbed some potential caustic substance all over her nether regions and had been unceremoniously dumped by her anxious Mama in the warm bathtub at which point she started to seriously splash me with water. Dripping wet I exited the bath and B took over, after the first splash he informed her that if she did it again he would splash back. Of course she didn't listen and got about 3 gallons of water dumped on her head, after a second round she was done. Afterwards of course she wanted Mama so I got in the tub with her and she told me in a very shocked and appalled voice that "Papa splashed back and wasn't very nice to me". I commiserated and suggested that as she had splashed first perhaps they should both apologize and be friends again and she agreed to that after calming down for another few minutes. Our bathroom looked like the Titanic after it sank.
