I bought a lovely new iPod when I was in the States but have been having a terrible time getting it to sync with my computer. Apple even replaced the first on but to no avail. It turns out the problem was with the USB port I was using, if I had plugged it directly into the back of the computer it would have worked fine from the start *FACEPALM*. Gratitude goes to the nice young man in Mumbai who came up with this solution the first time I talked to him.
