The week that was

This week was both needed and at the end stressful. I quite my temp assignment, which was driving me nuts, and didn't pick up another assignment until yesterday which I will start on Monday. Needless to say I must work so it was a great relief to pick up work again. Having said that I have been running my ass off almost from day one and it was nice to stay home with the family. My parents are going on vacation tomorow and I am getting up at 4:30am to drop them off at the airport. They are going to Madeira for two weeks and are quite exited. If I get home in time B, K, and I are going to make an appearance at Sunday mass, we shall see how that goes. Today we visited with my parents and helped with some last minute things around the garden. K got her hair cut for the first time, it was quite scragely and she desperately needed it. Now she looks a like an angelic little boy with her shorter hair. She is starting to throw the odd tantrum, but B and my tactic is to pretty much completely ignore it and that cools her down quite quickly. When you don't feed the emotional storm with either positive or negative attention it seems to blow itself out, that's our theory at least and it seems to be working for now.

We have been having some very stormy nights, my Dad says that the next three weeks or so are heavy storm season so we should batten down the hatches. What do you know, right on time for Samhain season. I am currently reading a book on OBE's and techniques to achieve same by Robert Bruce called Astral Dynamics, it seems to be very solid stuff as far as I can tell. We shall see if this solitary time that I haven on my hands can be productively used to improve my energy working skills (which are really no great shakes). I haven't actually started doing the exercises yet (still reading), if anyone has experience with this guys work I would love to hear from you.
