Arrrrrgggggg
Jan. 22nd, 2010 10:20 pmMost knitters will recognize that moment, the one where you are blithely knitting away at a project and realize that there is no way in hell that you have enough yarn to finish. Furthermore the fluffy stuff that is currently gliding through your fingers is DISCONTINUED, in fact that's why it was so cheap. I came to such a moment today, I'm working on the Lacy Prairie Shawl from Folk Shawls and am on my next to last hank of wool and am not even half done. Now I'm hunting down Rowan Fox Tweed Chunky Yarn in colorway marmalad. I found two but that's not enough so I've decided that the shawl is going to be more eclectic than planned and I'm putting in some sky blue and russet red into the mix, that is if I win the bids on ebay.
So pretty please everyone keep your fingers crossed, pray to Frigg or whatever you think appropriate in such a dire situation.
