Thunderstorm and some musings

evaelisabethEarly this morning we had a small thunderstorm, now in the sane world this would mean that temperatures and humidity would go down, but no, not on this freeking continent. paradigmslost gets to stay home with the girl today, he desperately needs to rest his voice which is almost non-existent at this point. I suspect much fun will be had.
Yesterday I ran accross and article posted on witchvox that really got to me, it was about why we aren't seeing more graphic images of the war in our media. Apparently it's not for a lack of material,it's just that nobody is choosing to run them especially if the pictures contain American soldiers. This is all disturbing but what really got to me was the picture they posted as an example. It was a little girl maybe 6 years old, she was surrounded by soldiers with guns, covered in fresh blood and screaming. Apparently the soldiers had just killed both her parents who did not stop at a check point. The photographer who took the picture requested a transfer from that team because he could bear to work with them anymore. All I could think of was Katie in the same situation.
This is not a just war.
